Linearisation
Linearisation is necessary for all tanks where the tank volume does not increase linearly with the level, for example, in a horizontal round tank. The linearisation curve indicates the relationship between the percentage filling level and the container volume.
The following linearisation curves are available:
- Linear, horizontal round tank, spherical tank
- Flow devices: Palmer-Bowlus Flume, Venturi flume, trapezoidal weir, rectangular spillway, V-notch, triangular spillway
A linearisation assistant supports the calculation of complex tank geometries.
Scaling
If the volume is not to be displayed in percent but, for example, in litres or kilograms, an additional “scaling” is required.
